Leads a multisite team across the UAE, primarily responsible for the safe and efficient maintenance of reliable assets.
Proactively analyses the performance of the Engineering Team and identifies areas of improvement, including personnel development.
Implements improvements to existing processes, inline with business requirements.
Plans and directs installation, maintenance, testing, and repair of facilities and equipment.
Analyses technology, resource needs, and market trends, and confers with management to plan and assess feasibility of projects.
Plans, coordinates, and directs engineering projects, organizes and assigns staff, and directs integration of technical activities with assets.
Plans, directs, and coordinates survey work with activities of other staff, reviews survey work, and reviews project legal descriptions.
Manages engineering personnel and ensures that all works are being conducted in accordance with site and company safety procedures and regulations.
Manages all relevant information necessary to compile regular comprehensive reports for the engineering manager, highlighting areas of concern where necessary.
Responsible for the Performance Management of all team members
Responsible for company CMMS system for respective site ensuring all users comply with agreed procedures.
Performs other relevant duties as required.
B.Sc./MSc Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, and/or equivalent handson experience in same field.
10 years of experience is preferred in the port environment, excellent knowledge base on port handling equipment.
Knowledge and handson experience using CMMS.
Proficient in project management, budget management & assets management skills.
Knowledge of port and terminal operating environments.
Good Technical understanding of design, specification and maintenance process.
Should have excellent analytical, problem solving and communication skills.
