• Ensure the efficient running of the assigned section/department/lab, which includes routine work of different aspects of clinical investigations, sterilization of laboratory equipment, etc. Collect and process samples, verify specimen identification and investigate and resolve testing issues. Perform special handling and packing of referral samples. Ensure that sufficient quantities of laboratory chemicals, test kits and equipment are available at all times. Includes raising requisitions and taking stock. Prepare basic laboratory reagents. Mail and file lab reports. Maintain all instrumentation and testing procedures within established quality control standards. Ensure that the proper disposal of Laboratory Contaminated Medical Waste and Sharp items in compliance with current HSE regulations.
