Description

Job Title:
Electrical BIM Modeler (Must have UAE / GCC experience)

Responsibilities:

Develop detailed electrical building information models (BIM) using software such as Revit MEP, AutoCAD MEP, or similar tools.


Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and coordinate electrical systems within the overall building design.

Create electrical system layouts, including lighting, power, fire alarm, and communication systems, based on design specifications and drawings.

Ensure that electrical models comply with local codes, standards, and regulations.

Coordinate with other disciplines, such as mechanical and structural engineers, to integrate electrical systems with the overall building design.

Perform clash detection and resolution to identify and resolve conflicts between electrical systems and other building components.

Generate accurate quantity take-offs and material schedules from electrical models.

Assist in the preparation of technical documentation, including drawings, schedules, and specifications.

Participate in project meetings and coordinate with project managers to ensure project deadlines are met.

Stay updated on advancements in BIM technology and electrical design practices.


Requirements:

Proven experience as an Electrical BIM Modeler or similar role in the construction industry.

Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit MEP, AutoCAD MEP, or similar tools.

Strong understanding of electrical systems and components.

Knowledge of local UAE electrical codes, standards, and regulations.

Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Attention to detail and accuracy in model creation.

Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Diploma or degree in electrical engineering, architecture, or a related field is preferred.

Familiarity with other BIM-related software and programs is a plus.
