Post Title:
Instrument & Control Maintenance Supervisor (Common)


JOB PURPOSE:


Supervise and perform maintenance of all Instrument & Control and equipment and systems to ensure equipment availability, reliability and integrity.


Maintenance Planning and Execution

  • Ensure availability of required resources for Instrument and Control equipment & systems maintenance execution and schedule expectations to complete the job safely and in time.
  • Plan, schedule, execute and supervise the Preventive/Predictive maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure reliability and availability
  • Ensure that HSECES related equipment PM tasks are completed within scheduled time and report any incomplete HSECES task and finding to create follow up WO.
  • Inspect I follow up tasks progress and provide report to ensure timely and quality job execution.
  • Provide technical support to meet required standards and cost effectiveness.
  • Ensure that maintenance records, fault reports, logbooks, are kept uptodate. Update refurbished equipment database and history for the equipment and their accessories to ensure effective equipment keeping.
  • Participate and conduct daily /weekly safety toolbox talks to discuss on safety and methods of completing job tasks.
  • Supervise the testing and commissioning of new or modified equipment or systems, ensuring that repairs/ installations conform to correct methods and safety procedures.
  • Participate in the planning, scheduling and execution of shutdown and major overhaul maintenance activities.

Materials Control

  • Monitor availability of tools, equipment, and parts for scheduled jobs to ensure smooth operations.
  • Prepare list of spares, tools and materials required for the maintenance jobs and coordinate with AGP Supervisor for Purchase/Material requisitions. Inspect new materials' specifications to meet specifications and suitability.
  • Process & submission of MR, IR & RR stores materials and ensures sufficient spares are available on the complex or field.

Supervision

  • Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
  • Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective functional objectives.

Policies, Systems. Processes & Procedures

  • Implement AGP policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the work programs in line with Company and International standards.
  • Comply with all applicable legislation and legal regulations.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement

  • Propose new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.
  • Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with best Industry standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.

Health, Safety. Environment (HSE) and Sustainability

  • Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.
  • Participate in Emergency Response duties as a team member.

Reports
Provide required progress reports to planning Section and assigned line manager


COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:


Internal

  • Regular work related contact with immediate Supervisor and planning Section as required, peer Professional staff and team members on matters related to Team I Section Policies and Processes, People, HSE and domain specific issues.
  • Contacts with Operations Team, Process coordinators, Discipline Engineers, HSE Advisors, Ware house Staff on work related matters.

QUALIFICATIONS


EXPERIENCE KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:


Minimum Qualification

  • Degree in Instrument & Control or Electronics & Communications discipline or equivalent qualification.

Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills

  • 5 years of experience as a supervisory role for Instrument & control engineering and maintenance activities within a large industrial organization, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry.
  • Thorough working knowledge in the field of instrumentation and control. Competency in the maintenance of control loops, PLC's and DCS.
  • Demonstrated skills in troubleshooting maintenance, and testing of all plant instrument & control systems equipment.
  • Knowledge of CMMS (SAP)
  • Knowledge of international standards and engineering best practices related to oil & Gas industry
  • Must be able to work efficiently with Engineering, Operations, Maintenance Support, Materials Management, contractors, Environmental, Safety and other groups within the plant organization.
  • Knowledge of HSE procedures & practices.
  • Planning and Organizing, Scheduling and Coordinating, Checking, Examining and Recording.
