Digital Operations Project Manager

Reports to:

Product Operations Director


Direct reports:

TBD (experience in managing reports is desirable but based on portfolio and business needs)


The Role


The Digital Operations Project Manager is responsible for the professional end-to-end project management & delivery of their allocated digitally enabled Exhibitions and range of webinars.

They will ensure that all are delivered to the highest possible standards via third party platforms, to the satisfaction of all parties involved, consistently throughout the year.


The Digital Operations Project Manager will be responsible for gathering and leading the event teams' requirements for the allocated events, following the onboarding process, understanding their strategy and commercial OKRs, key components of the digital event fulfilment (in-person and online) and building the smart sheet project plan for the event to meet these needs whilst simultaneously managing within the target operating model.


The Digital Operations Project Manager will train to become a platform 'expert' supporting teams to learn & utilize the pre-determined EMEA suite of available platforms to their fullest capacity with the ability to advise on the platform best suited to meet the digital event needs in question, recommend applicable training to the event team in question to best fulfil their obligations and as such this person must have a proven track record in delivering different digital event types across multiple platforms whilst maintaining excellent stakeholder management.


The Digital Operations Project Manager should lead by example and always demonstrate professional responsibility to the department, confidently communicating on all levels internally and externally.


Job Summary/Responsibilities

  • Manage production, communication and implementation of individual show project plans ensuring all tasks are carried out on a timely basis & within deadlines set across all your events from Product, Sales, Marketing, IT, Operations, Customer Services Event leads.
  • Assign tasks as required within the target operating model to ensure all agreed KPI's are delivered on project plan driven time and within budget.
  • Be the key point of contact for the show teams in all matters on your allocated shows, internal and external.
  • End to end responsibility for delivery of your allocation of Digitally Enabled events (inperson and online) for the year.
  • Gather the event team's platform requirements for the event, understanding their strategy, key components for registration, content, networking and sponsorship fulfilment and building the project plan for the event to fit these needs.
  • Become a platform expert to support teams to learn & use the predetermined EMEA suite of available platforms to their fullest capacity. This includes Event management platform and registration processes
  • Supporting your allocated teams / portfolios with the onboarding process for digital events
  • Working with the wider EMEA Events Operations and Customer Services team to support with operational and onboarding tasks which establish excellent service & meet stakeholder expectations.
  • Initiativetaking project management, identifying potential issues and finding resolutions to help mitigate them before they happen. Scheduling frequent project checkins and lead troubleshooting (partnership with third parties and cross functional teams)
  • Support the Show / Brand team to create & manage the Digital Operations budget.
