Wood is presently looking to hire a
Pursuit Manager / Start-up and Contract Manager / Project Director to be based in
Abu Dhabi / Dubai .
Job Objective
This key role is responsible for:
- Pursuing, starting up and delivering contracts/major projects in the Middle East Region (including Iraq)
- Delivery of successful tenders
- Delivery of successful new contract/major project mobilisations and startups
- Taking on contract or major project execution following successful tender/startup
- Coordination of business establishment activities for new location or country entry
Responsible for leading tender activity as Pursuit Manager, and when successful transitioning through to Start-Up Manager before finally taking on the Contract Manager or Project Director position to deliver what has been tendered.
Leading and coaching the wider tender team and key roles associated with the start-up activity.
Promotes a culture of continuous improvement to ensure learnings from past pursuits and start-ups are implemented to further enhance the business approach and methodology in relation to tender start-up and delivery.
Key accountabilities and responsibilities:
- Support the establishment and implementation of pursuits and startups.
- Contribute to the development of win strategies, tender submissions, mobilisation and execution plans.
- Coordinate and influence key internal and external stakeholders
- Support meeting and workshop facilitation with both internal and external stakeholders
- Participate in the delivery of presentations and report findings in a formal setting to senior executives.
- Design and adaptation of appropriate and innovative reporting methods
- Sharing and learning from best practice in terms of pursuits and startups
Working relationships:
- Internal: Capable of networking with all the regional leadership team and operational management including project support teams and functions
- External: Communicates clearly and routinely with clients on contract establishment and startup activities whilst also leading supply chain stakeholder management
Level of influence and decision making authority:
Qualifications:
- Degree qualified with Association for Project Management Practitioner or equivalent professional project management qualification
- Advanced computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft office tools, Word / Excel / PowerPoint, to advanced template creation and document / data management level
- Held a Project Manager position (or equivalent) on a project of $50m TIC or portfolio contract with annual revenue greater than $30m
Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years project management experience
