The primary responsibility of the teacher is to be knowledgeable about
content in Math; to meet the needs of a wide variety of students, and to
effectively communicate with and engage students in learning in
developmentally appropriate ways.

• Be directly accountable to the school principal
• Communicate and engage students effectively in the subject matter
• Assist with the organization of courses of study in cooperation with

school learning objectives and in compliance with accreditation processes

• Prepare a systematic plan for instruction that includes: a statement of

general and specific learning objectives with time allotted for each unit,
strategies employed during instruction to increase student engagement in
the learning process, and methods of evaluation

• Keep accurate, complete, and timely records of student's grades and

attendance

• Evaluate and grade fairly by grading policies
• Assume responsibility at all times for students assigned to his/her care

Give prompt attention to routine classroom matters:

• Textbook and equipment records
• Student records (cumulative folders, report cards, conference records,

etc.)

• Accurate reporting of classroom
