- Collaborate with academic and administrative departments to understand their requirements and translate them into effective solutions within the Banner system.
- Configure and customize Banner ERP modules to align with the university's unique business processes and requirements.
- Conduct system testing and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal performance and reliability of the Banner ERP.
- Collaborate with technical teams to define integration requirements and ensure seamless data flow between Banner and other university systems.
- Provide end-user training and support, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues related to the Banner ERP system.
- Monitor system performance, analyze data, and generate reports to identify areas for improvement and optimize system functionality.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest enhancements and updates in Banner ERP functionality and proactively propose system enhancements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to implement system upgrades and enhancements.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, including functional specifications, user manuals, and training materials.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, promoting a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
- Proven experience as Banner Functional Expert, working with Banner ERP, Argos in a higher education environment.
- Strong understanding of higher education business processes, including admissions, student records, academic advising, and financial management.
- In-depth knowledge of Banner ERP modules and functionality, including configuration, customization, and integration.
- Proficiency in SQL and ability to write complex queries for data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify system issues, perform root cause analysis, and propose effective solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with system testing, quality assurance, and documentation.
- Banner certifications or relevant training courses are a plus.
