    To Learn More Duties and ResponsibilitiesCivil design, coastal design, geotechnical investigation, and site layout.

    Geotechnical engineering analyses such as slope stability, settlement, bearing capacity, and seismic;Geotechnical and site characterization;Review factual design reports, borehole logs and laboratory testingPreparation of geotechnical field investigation specifications and geotechnical interpretive reportsPrepare foundation and pile design as well as ground improvement recommendationsDeveloping engineering solutions to challenging structural and geotechnical problems and site conditionsCoordination and support with marine and structural team on projectsOversee waterfront structure and marine infrastructure projectsDesign and engineering for a variety of areas such as harbors, marinas, vessel mooring and berthing structures, bulkheads and seawalls, breakwaters and shore protection structures, shoreline stabilization and sediment management.

    Development and management of instrumentation monitoring systems;Small project/task management and proposal preparation support;Preparation of engineering reports, design calculations, drawings, technical specifications, and permit applications; andAttend meetings with clients and regulatory authorities.

    Education and LicensureBachelor\'s degree in civil, coastal, structural or geotechnical engineering. (required)Advanced degree in civil, coastal, structural or geotechnical engineering.

    (preferred)Skills, Experience and QualificationsAt least 2 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    (required)Strong oral and technical writing skills. (required)Familiarity with international geotechnical design standards including Eurocode and British Standards. (preferred)Familiarity and experience on coastal and waterfront projects. (preferred)Experience with engineering software such as AUTOCAD, Slope/W, SAP2000, ALLPILE, STAAD Pro, MATLab, SWAN, SBEACH, MIKE21, and Plaxis. (2D/3D) (preferred)
