Overview:
The Global Emerging Markets business covers a comprehensive EM product suite of FX, Rate and Credit from vanilla to complex products. It provides access to onshore & offshore markets via direct or electronic channels, as well as synthetic formats. In addition, it also provides financing solutions spanning capital markets, loans and assetbacked financing, from investment grade to distressed. The client base coverage spans the entire spectrum including sovereigns, quasisovereigns as well as global / local institutional and corporate clients.

Key Responsibilities:

As a GEM Trader you will be responsible for:

1. Managing product flows along with pricing and risk management / portfolio optimization.

2. Providing liquidity to Deutsche Bank Clients who range from financial institutions to corporates.

3. Responsible for execution, trade capture and PNL signoff for the trading books.

4. Continuous exploration of overall platform enhancements.

5. Being aware and monitoring all rate volatility markets and identifying opportunities between different markets plus ability to develop hedging strategies.

6. Client engagement - Market share acquisition.

To be successful in this role you will have:

1. Minimum 6-8 years experience in MENA Rates & FX trading and market making business. Strong quantitative skills (preferably in econometrics) and product knowledge.

2. Deep knowledge of MENA Local Markets including an understanding of onshore and offshore dynamics

3. English (spoken and written)

4. An understanding and proficiency managing risk in trading books - interest rate risk, SOFR and cross currency (xccy) basis risk.

5. A deep understanding of debt capital/bond markets, credit environment and comfortable pricing a variety of instruments, including interest swaps, cross-currency swaps, Forward Rate Agreements (FRAs).

6. Very strong money management skills. Liquidity provider / Market maker profile. Driven to provide very competitive liquidity to client base.

7. Team player, willing to contribute to the collaborative success of the broader team.

8. Creative personality. Innovative track record.

9. Strong networking / communication skills
