    Minimumqualifications:

    • Bachelorsdegree in Engineering Technology Science or equivalent practicalexperience.
    • Experience working withnetworking technologies across the Open Systems Interconnectionmodel and carrier networks.
    • Experience partnering with Government agencies regulatorsinternational organizations mergers and acquisitions and valuationanalysis.

    Preferred qualifications:

    • Experience in performing datadriven network availabilityand resiliency analysis.
    • Experience innetwork asset discussions and planning including submarine cablesystems cable landing station site selection land acquisition darkfiber bandwidth services layer 3 interconnect and datacenters.
    • Ability to connect with senior levelindustry executives to develop strategicrelationships/initiatives.
    • Ability to discusscomplex agreements with vendors partners and suppliers.
    • Excellent analytical financial and problemsolvingskills.

    Googles infrastructure needsgo far beyond server computers. As Googles products and servicesscale the globe the Strategic Negotiation team works behind thescenes to secure infrastructure for Googles future everything fromunderwater cables to physical data center space. As a StrategicNegotiator you combine your deep market knowledge of a given sectorwith tech industry savvy to negotiate costeffective solutions tosupport Googles infrastructure growth. Youll work with specificproject teams on negotiating deals managing vendor and partnerrelationships and presenting deal recommendations to our Techleadership. Your successful negotiations have the potential to saveGoogle millions of dollars in operating costs and impact every partof the business.

    As a Strategic Negotiatoryoull work with internal teams to oversee vendor and partnerrelationships. You will develop and maintain relationships withGoogles business units to help minimize any gap between Googlesbusiness ambitions and infrastructure capability.

    In this role youll ensure that we execute highqualityagreements with our suppliers work closely with our planning taxpolicy legal and treasury teams and identify costeffectivesolutions and optimal commercial frameworks for our needs. Youlllead projects manage vendors and present your recommendations toGoogle leadership.

    Responsibilities

    • Developlongterm relationships with key commercial partners includingtelecommunications companies network carriers and colocationoperators for the purposes of managing our strategies of assetacquisition deep edgenetwork penetration and Cloudpartnerships.
    • Coordinate with the GlobalSubmarine team to develop strategic partnerships withinfrastructure providers to support the deployment plans for cablesystems in the Middle East. Work directly with government agenciesand regulatory bodies to advance the objectives of Googlessubmarine program and discuss agreements for rightofway real estatecollocation and fiber to support project requirements.
    • Perform business case development and site selection forcable landing stations. Develop and grow relationships with vendorsand partners to facilitate executing agreements and orders. Discussand implement commercial frameworks that allow for predictableefficient delivery of assets to meet Googles portfolio of productsand services.
