Our clientis seeking a trading assistant to join their team add commercialvalue through various support functions including the tracking andanalysis of commercial risks and exposures inherent to physicalcommodities trading. The incumbent will be tasked with includesphysical movements of commodities and associated documentsmonitoring market exposures and execution of hedges trackingcontract execution and optionality drafting and reviewing ofcommercial contracts reporting and analysis of profit and loss aswell as various administrative duties and special projects.

Responsibilities:

• Maintainreports reconcile analyze profit and loss risks and exposuresresulting from the physical and derivative to commercial activitiesof the respective tradingdesk.
• Dailycollect market information to be reported to the desk. Ensureroutine daily hedging of certain exposures is executedproperly.
• Independentlyexplain and justify the economics of each commercial deal ortrading strategy and how changes in the market impact the strategyas well as the overallposition.
• Producedaily results and commentary in a concise manner for management andtraders.
• Track thephysical movement of commodities and associated coordination offinancing banks shipping and title documents transfers andassociatedrisks.
• Trackdaily mark to market exposure arising from derivatives positions invarious financial markets including but not limited to the LondonMetal Exchange Chicago Mercantile Group and Shanghai MetalsExchange.
• Prepareand execute trade related commercial documents including but notlimited to physical commodity forward purchase and sale contracts /amendments OTC financial instruments trade and priceconfirmations.
• Workclosely with the trader to coordinate details of each trade frominception to execution including liaising with legal logisticscredit risk finance teams and colleagues in various foreign officesto maximize the value of each transaction and ensure theinformation flow and capture is sufficient to satisfy reportingrequirements and relevance to deskanalysis.
• Fullresponsibility for integrity of data in trading systems used tocapture and provide information relied on for commercial matterswith direct financial and legalimpact.
• Work withIT department to maximize efficiency inreporting.
• Provideanalysis and manage various special projects as needed to supportand maximize opportunities in a dynamic global tradingenvironment.

Requirements:Qualification and Skill

• Degree inmaths science engineering finance international studies or otherbusiness / analyticalfield.
• 23 yearsrelated experience in a commodity tradingenvironment.
• Articulateaccurate assertive team player capable of effectively communicatingin a dynamic globalenvironment.
• Demonstrableproblem solving initiative with proven ability toexecute.
• Entrepreneurialdrive and willingness to work nontraditional businesshours.
