- Actively welcome, greet and checkguests in
- Inform guests with savvy knowledge ofhotel, its services, the city, and local'happenings'
- Ensure allrequests are dealt with accurately and they receive the appropriateservice, attention and follow up
- Differentiatebetween guest types and handle them in the appropriate manner;guests with confirmed or claimed reservation, walk ins, VIP guests,groups, etc.
- Follow up on all arrivals usingthe prescribed procedure, modification of registration cards,special requests, rate changes, room changes and account inquiries,reservation inquiries
- Deal with all guestrequests, accidents and/or thefts promptly, no later than within a20 minutes response time, record all matters in hotel specificrecording process
- Update and maintain thereception hand over book, pass on all guest feedback to the Manageron duty so appropriate action may betaken
- Ensure guest privacy and security, anyconfidential guest information is not disclosed and processes arealigned with Fairmont confidentialitystandards
- Ensure the correct procedure andpolicy standards are adhered to
- Ensure allnecessary supplies are available for the front desk, manage parstock and order supplies
- Comply with hotelcredit policy as it relates to cash payments; credit card payments;account to company; voucher payment; third party payment,international currency, etc.
- Encourageup-selling in order to maximize rates
- Ensurework areas are cleaned and maintained at all times
- Proficiency in English (verbal andwritten), a second language an asset.
- Priorexperience working as Receptionist or in Front Office in a reputedhotel in UAE and knowledge in Opera or a relatedsystem
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solvingabilities.
- Highly responsible &reliable.
