Senior Director/Head of Corporate Credit/Contracting
A leading bank in the UAE is looking to appoint a Senior Director/Head of Corporate Credit (focusing on their Contracting Portfolio).
Reporting into the to the Head of Corporate Credit, this is a senior leadership role overseeing a team of x10 Credit Analysts at VP/AVP level.
The role involves overseeing the Corporate Banking portfolio for the Contracting Segment in Abu Dhabi, managing 100+ mid to large-sized contractors with operations in the UAE or overseas.
With delegated approval authority you will be responsible for representing the portfolio from a credit perspective, ensuring the quality of credit proposals and working closely with senior business heads and the Credit committee.
Some current and/or previous experience covering the Contracting sector in the GCC region is required.Additionally, the role includes supporting the Group Head of Credit on ad-hoc projects related to system and process improvements and closely monitoring projects financed by the Bank.
The ideal candidate should have 15 years of relevant banking experience, including at least 10 years in progressively responsible managerial roles within the Credit function.
More critical would be candidate's strong leadership, decision-making and people management skills.Their technical expertise should contribute to formulating transformation plans, provide effective solutions to challenges, and be able to advise the Credit Committee and other senior members.
