    • Provide technical advice onmatters related to chemistry applications in oilfields.
    • Supervise and perform physical andanalysis of water and BS&W analysis for various oil fieldsto monitor the water breakthrough at producer wells. Identify thewater nature ad source predicting adverse effects such ascorrositivity, scaling tendency and incompatibility with otherwaters. Cleanliness of wells from foreign materials which areintroduced during drilling andwork-over.
    • Supervise and perform physical andchemical analysis for scales, sediments and corrosion products toidentify their possible causes whether natural or due toincompatibility with other chemicals used during operations. Metalanalysis of piping and other metals alloys to ensure consistencywith the specifications.
    • Carry out qualitycontrol analysis and compatibility studies for chemicals used inoil field production such as corrosion inhibitors, biocides,polyacrylamide gels to assure that they meet the requiredspecifications and efficiency.
    • Participate inthe company's corrosion control by determination ofcorrosion rate on metals coupons that are mounted at various fieldlocations.
    • Assess the performance of acidformulae supplied by contractors to optimize additives and checktheir compatibility with the oil, formation water, completionalloys and reservoir rocks. Check validity of various aciddiversion techniques to ensure effectiveness and that they have nodamaging effect to the formation.
    • Prepareanalysis files and analytical procedures for running and operationof computerized instruments as well as the calibration and routinemaintenance.
    • Calculate, interpret results andprepare the analysis reports with finding and recommendations tothe concerned departments.
    • Order equipment,chemicals spare parts. Arrange for safety kit and requirements forsubordinate personnel and ensure the use of suchkit.
    • Monitor and enforce safety, HSE rules andregulations.
