Job Responsibilities:
MINIMUM 5 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN UAE


  • Developing IT strategies and aligning them with the overall business goals and objectives of the organization. This involves understanding the company's needs and future technology requirements.
  • Creating and managing the IT budget, allocating resources efficiently, and ensuring cost-effectiveness in technology investments.
  • Overseeing IT staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating team members. Encouraging professional growth and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Leading IT projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meeting the required quality standards.
  • Managing the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, hardware, software, and security systems.
  • Implementing and maintaining robust security measures to protect the organization's data, networks, and systems from potential threats and breaches.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues reported by end-users. Perform root cause analysis and implement appropriate solutions.
  • Install, configure, and upgrade computer hardware, software, operating systems, and peripheral devices.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including system backups, software updates, antivirus scans, and hardware cleaning. Plan and execute hardware and software upgrades as needed.
  • Create and maintain documentation of IT systems, configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides. Update knowledge base articles and user manuals for self-help and reference.
  • Monitor and manage computer hardware and software inventory. Track and document equipment assignments, repairs, replacements, and disposals.
  • Implement and enforce security protocols, including user access controls, data backup procedures, and antivirus software. Respond to and mitigate security incidents.
  • Provide remote support to off-site employees or branch offices, troubleshooting issues and resolving technical problems through remote access tools or phone support.
  • Collaborate with IT team members and other departments to address technical issues, implement system changes, and communicate updates or outages effectively.
  • Ensuring the integrity, availability, and confidentiality of data, as well as compliance with relevant data protection regulations.
  • Collaborating with external vendors and service providers to negotiate contracts, evaluate service levels, and ensure effective service delivery.
  • Staying informed about emerging technologies and industry trends, and making recommendations on their potential benefits and implementation.
  • Addressing and resolving complex IT issues, providing technical support to staff, and ensuring smooth IT operations.
  • Developing and maintaining plans to minimize downtime in the event of a disaster or system failure.
  • Establishing and enforcing IT policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance, security, and efficiency.
  • Collaborating with other departments to understand their technology needs and integrating IT solutions to support their workflows.
  • Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) for IT operations, preparing regular reports for management, and making data-driven decisions to improve efficiency.
  • Conducting training sessions for employees to enhance their IT literacy and promote awareness of cybersecurity best practices.

Qualifications:
VALID UAE DRIVER LICENSE

B. Significant experience in the IT industry is essential, 8-10 years of progressively responsible roles. This experience should include a mix of technical expertise, project management, and leadership experience.

C. A strong foundation in various IT domains. Knowledge of networking, system administration, cybersecurity, database management, cloud computing, software development, and emerging technologies. Familiarity with both hardware and software aspects of IT is crucial.

D. As a Head of IT, you will be leading a team, so strong leadership and management skills are critical.

This includes the ability to motivate and mentor your team, delegate tasks effectively, and promote a collaborative and productive work environment.

E. The IT landscape is ever-changing, with new technologies emerging regularly. Being adaptable and open to learning is necessary to stay relevant and make informed technology decisions.

F. As a Head of IT, you'll have access to sensitive information and systems. Demonstrating a strong sense of ethics and promoting security awareness within the team is paramount.

G. Certifications in project management (e.g., PMP), cybersecurity (e.g., CISSP), or technology-specific certifications (e.g., CCNA, AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
