Our client, a leading government hospital, is currently looking for a Staff Nurse - ICU specialized with Pediatric patients, to be based in In this role, you will be responsible to:Provide age-appropriate care to children admitted in pediatric ICUMonitoring patient vitals such as blood pressure, heart rate, respiration rate, temperature, and weight on a frequent basis to ensure they are within normal limitsMonitoring the child s progress and communicating with other health care professionals regarding treatment plans and patient progressPerforming physical examinations on patients, including listening to lungs with a stethoscope and checking pulses in arms and legsPreparing infants for feeding by suctioning out their noses and mouths with a bulb syringeMonitoring the infant s feeding schedule, administering feeding through a tube that has been inserted into the stomach through the navel, and changing diapers as neededRecording information about patient symptoms, reactions to medications, and progress during nursing assessmentsObserving and documenting patient behavior, including interactions with family members, visitors, and staff membersProviding emotional support to patients and their families during difficult times, such as death or serious illness
