Responsibilities / Duties / Functions TasksResponsible for ensuring that team understands expectations and consistently meet or exceed KPI's.
Provide team leadership and coachingKeep the manager informed of task accomplishment, issues and statusProvide status reporting of team activities against the program plan or scheduleEscalate issues which cannot be resolved by the teamProvide guidance to the team based on management directionMonitoring, measure and manage performance and service quality of the teamCoordinate the review, presentation and release of reports, analysis and any other documentationCoordinate meetings with the Global Manager to discuss any type of impediments,needed resources or issues/delays in completing the taskEnsure jobs are performed to satisfy the companies requirements, cost and revenue - No costs are absorbedMonitor the progress of jobs and services throughout the region - Planning, Execution and Billing.
Systematic review of the jobs to identify any challenges before hand and discuss the same with team - Proactive and not reactiveEstablish times, places and agendas for planning of the jobs and discuss any challenges with the jobsDevelop processes, design documentation standards, techniques and tools to support task performanceFamiliarize the team with the customer needs, specifications and communicationAssure that the team addresses all relevant issues within the specifications and timelinesSkillsQualificationMinimum 5 years Logistics Operations ExperienceExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsWork well under pressure and able to work long hours if requiredOutstanding organizational skills and customer service skillsAbility to prioritize and multitask.
Preferred university graduateComputer literate (PC applications:
Word, Excel, Open office, Windows)Talent for recognizing the opportunities for process improvementExperience in handling shipments for Middle East, Afghanistan and IraqPrior global shipping management experience is highly desirable.#J-18808-Ljbffr
