We are currently seeking a highly skilled an NGS Data Analyst (UAE National) to join our dynamic team.

As a NGS Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in our clinical genomics division, working closely with variant scientists to analyze and interpret whole exome/genome data.

Your expertise will be integral in generating accurate and comprehensive clinical reports based on genetic sequencing results.


Responsibilities:


  • Analyze and interpret NGS data, specifically focusing on whole exome/genome sequencing and gene panels, using stateoftheart bioinformatics tools and resources.
  • Work closely with the team of variant scientists to identify and classify genetic variants, ensuring accuracy and adherence to quality standards.
  • Issue clinical reports based on the analysis of genetic variants, providing concise and clear interpretations for healthcare professionals and patients.
  • Collaborate with clinical geneticists and genetic counselors to ensure the accurate integration of genetic findings into patient care and counseling.
  • Stay uptodate with the latest advancements in clinical genetics, NGS technologies, and variant interpretation guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and maintain accurate documentation of analysis procedures.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and participate in research projects related to clinical genomics.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Human Genetics, Genetic Counseling, or Medical Doctor (MD).
  • Clinical experience in exome/genome sequencing and gene panels analysis, with at least one year of practical experience.
  • Certification and licensure in the field of clinical genetics or genetic counseling.
  • Fluent English language skills, both written and spoken, with the ability to write full clinical reports.
  • Strong knowledge of genetic variant analysis and interpretation, including familiarity with variant databases and annotation tools.
  • Proficiency in bioinformatics analysis tools and programming languages commonly used in genomics research.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately within defined timelines.
  • Advantage: Clinical Geneticist (MD) qualification.

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Abu Dhabi: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
