- Perform structural analysis andengage in the design of steel and/or transportation structures forboth new construction andrehabilitation
- Prepare technical/design reportsand calculations packages
- Prepare constructiondrawings and specifications
- Attend designmeetings and site inspections with our clients, sub-consultants,and partners on an as- needed basis
- Interactand collaborate with the in-house drafters and otherengineers
- Design various structures and producecontract documents for various building types, retaining walls,foundations, and wastewater treatmentplant
- Communicate with other departments toensure all documentation required is contained within the tendersubmission.
- Prepare work to be accomplished bygathering information and requirements; settingpriorities.
- Prepare construction budget bystudy plans; updating specifications; identifying and projectingcosts for each elevation.
- Evaluate offers topurchase by costing changes, additions, and siterequirements.
- Obtain bids from vendors andsubcontractors by specifying materials; identifying qualifiedsubcontractors; negotiating price.
- Maintaincost keys and price masters by updatinginformation.
- Resolve cost discrepancies bycollecting and analyzing information.
- Preparedraft tender documents to ensure all systems and components of thetender are included.
