Description

• Greet and escort customers totheir tables
• Present menu and provide detailedinformation when asked (e.g. about portions, ingredients orpotential food allergies)
• Prepare tables bysetting up linens, silverware andglasses
• Inform customers about theday's specials
• Offer menurecommendations upon request
• Up-sell additionalproducts when appropriate
• Take accurate foodand drinks orders, using a POS ordering software, order slips or bymemorization
• Check customers' IDs toensure they meet minimum age requirements for consumption ofalcoholic beverages
• Communicate order detailsto the Kitchen Staff
• Serve food and drinkorders
• Check dishes and kitchenware forcleanliness and presentation and report anyproblems
• Arrange table settings and maintain atidy dining area
• Deliver checks and collectbill payments
• Carry dirty plates, glasses andsilverware to the kitchen for cleaning
• Meetwith restaurant staff to review daily specials, changes on the menuand service specifications for reservations (e.g.parties)
• Follow all relevant health departmentregulations
• Provide excellent customer serviceto guests
  

Requirements

• Proven work experience as a Waiter orWaitress
• Hands-on experience with a cashregister and ordering information system (e.g. Revel POS or ToastPOS)
• Basic mathskills
• Attentiveness and patience forcustomers
• Excellent presentationskills
• Strong organizational and multitaskingskills, with the ability to perform well in a fast-pacedenvironment
• Active listening and effectivecommunication skills
• Teamspirit
• Flexibility to work inshifts
• High school diploma; food safetytraining is a plus
