About our client

Our client is a well establishedcarpentry and joinery organisation providing supply and fitservices across the UK and throughout Europe. The organisation wasestablished since 2003 with an exciting and forever growing orderbook month to month, the business is continuing to expand.

About this opportunity

We are looking for anexperienced Estimator to join our clients team in Gateshead. We arelooking for both junior and experienced candidates for variousroles.

What you will do

The successful candidate willwork closely with the Senior Estimator, Commercial Manager andManaging Director to become proficient in pricing both bespokejoinery and all other aspects of carpentry/joinery which will besupplied and installed for a multitude of clients throughout theUK. The plan is for the estimating department to transfer to thenew applicant in the future as we have serious growth plans. Theday-to-day tasks include but are not limited to ensuring all newenquiries are dealt with in a timely manner, research new productsand liaise with our purchasing department to get the s possible formaterials, liaise with managers to ensure that timeframes arereachable and cost effective when pricing new work and prepare newquotations with detailedspecifications.

You will bring

We are looking for someone whois motivated, ambitious, punctual and will progress quickly.Ideally we need someone who is able to read architectural drawings,be proficient in excel and preferably be from a joinery backgroundso they can hit the ground running (although any training will begiven) so this is notessential.
