Description

This position requires coordination / liaison skills and must be able to manage conflicting priorities between Internal and external parties such as Engineering, Sales, Procurement, CCPD, Stores, Dispatch, Production and Suppliers with respect to Material availability.

In addition to making sure the flow of Production is uninterrupted, the material coordinator must utilize concepts to streamline the process of clearing Material challenges, collect and analyse data of current orders, stock levels and sales forecast to estimate future demand and support Material Planning Engineers in ordering their material efficiently.

• Diploma in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain or Logistics or relevant.
• Added studies and trainings in Supply Chain Management is an advantage.

• Vast knowledge and understanding of manufacturing (Material Management module/process).
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

• Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing company or equivalent.
• Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

• Compiles and maintains manual or computerized records, such as material inventory, inprocess production reports, and status and location of materials.
• Maintains all sensitive DATA information required such as Safety Stock availability, Inventory Levels, Forecast Material, Slow Moving Materials, repeated shortage material.
• Responsible in maintain the Planning Worksheet Data daily with all necessary formulas.
• Arranges transfer request of materials (BOM and Non BOM) to meet production requirement and schedules.
• Responsible to raise and clear all pending modifications related to Material.
• Collaborate with Engineering to find alternatives for Material Shortages and raise Modifications or update BOM Via Engineering.
• To follow up with Procurement on ETA, pending PO releases and other procurement related data in system.
• To handle queries from internal departments on daily basis and to provide on time response.
• Maintains all Air Freight approvals and reasons for Air Freight.
• Supports Material Planning Engineers in their routine tasks.
• Handle special tasks assigned by Material Planning Manager.
