- Assist in monitoring Housekeepingpersonnel to ensure all guests and internal customers receiveprompt and courteous service
- Assist inoverseeing laundry operations
- Schedule withDirector of Housekeeping routine quality control inspections of allHousekeeping areas
- Inspect guest and publicareas on a regular basis to ensure that furnishings, facilities,and equipment are clean and in good condition; make recommendationsto Director of Housekeeping accordingly regardingupkeep
- Assist in managing spring cleaningschedules
- Maintain open channels ofcommunication with other department heads and General Manager andExecutive Assistant Manager
- Establish andmaintain productive team relations and work with Human Resources toensure that team members' performance is effectivelymanaged
- Assist in maintaining appropriatestandards for dress, hygiene, uniforms, appearance, and conduct ofHousekeeping personnel
- Conduct regulardepartment meetings in absence of Director ofHousekeeping
- Identify and ensure highestpossible standards of cleanliness, maintenance, guest room suppliesand amenities at a realistic cost
- Superviseoutside contractors to ensure contractualcompliance
- Assist the control of Housekeepingprocedures that provide for the health and safety of personnel andguests, such as lost and found service, key control, security andemergency procedures and environmentalprocedures
- Implement assigned tasks duringemergencies such as fires, power failures andflooding
- Act within budget limits and contactssuperior in case of any outstanding and/or unforeseen costseffecting hotel performance
- Assist Director ofHousekeeping in the preparation and management of thedepartment's budget
- Perform relatedduties and special projects assigned
