Adecco Middle East currently hiring a Linux System Administrator for our prestigious end client based in UAE.

Job Title:
Linux System Administrator

Job Location:
Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Job Type: 12-month extendable contract.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Proven experience as a Linux Systems Administrator, with a minimum of 4 years of experience.
Knowledge of computer networks, including TCP/IP, routing, switching, and firewalls.
Good problemsolving and troubleshooting skills, with strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Industry certifications, such as Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or Certified Linux Administrator (CLA), are a plus.

Functional Responsibilities

Work in rotating shifts to provide 24/7 monitoring and incident response support to ensure the availability, performance, and security of the cloud environment.
Provide base monitoring and technical operational and maintenance (O&M) support for the production environment, and perform Linux systems administration tasks as required.
Perform regular operating system patches, ensuring that systems are uptodate with the latest security and software updates.
Implement security baseline hardening on Linuxbased systems and servers to prevent unauthorized access, data breaches, and other security threats.
Conduct backup restoration tests and emergency drills to ensure that systems are recoverable in the event of a disaster or outage.
Adhere to production support processes and contribute to the development of new processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of cloud platform monitoring and incident response.
Collaborate with the Platform Engineering teams and the vendor O&M support team to ensure the timely resolution of incidents and problems and the implementation of changes and upgrades to the cloud environment.
Comply with applicable laws, regulations, international standards and related Policies and Procedures.
