DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES, AUTHORITY & ACCOUNTABILITY:


  • Oversee the Manufacturing operations as assigned
  • Projects plan and implement changes/expansions as necessary to meet product demand.
  • Reviews implementation of schedules on continuous basis to ensure that the facilities have capacity within objective limits for customer demands.
  • Prepares (whenever needed) modification on implementation of schedules due to unforeseen increase or decrease of demands for services.
  • Reports to management on ways to increase productivity and efficiency.
  • Develops monthly reports on jobs accomplished, personnel and equipment utilization, sales and inventory, generated revenue and incorporated costs.
  • Directs and coordinates activities of employee to obtain optimum efficiency and economy of operations and maximize profits
  • Interview prospective job applicants and evaluates workers performance to recommend personnel actions such as hiring, retention, promotion, transfer or dismissal of workers.
  • In conjunction with the regional training function, oversee Graduate training programmers as related to the Manufacturing plant.
  • Ensure that the manufacturing plant(s) maintain a safe working environment within the facility/facilities
  • Set and manage the annual production budget
  • May confer with other department managers to assist in specific classification of products from quality assurance position.
  • Drive all quality processes,
    QHSE practices and procedures safety rules in compliance with the policies of Industry.
  • The post holder is responsible for maximizing contract values, volumes, achievements and progression for learners in line with industry Trainings Strategic and annual plans as well as those of local, regional and national funders.
  • The Operations Manager has management responsibility for the activities, operations, staff and resources of the divisional priorities.

Coordinate and execute projects of piping, structural, Pressure vessel, API 6A, 16A, 16C, 5CT, 7-1 & fabrication and welding jobs:


  • Mobilization and demobilization of manpower, equipment and other resources for site projects
  • Execute jobs according to scope, meeting time schedules and within allocated budget
  • Report job status to client and top management
  • Attend site meetings, prebid meetings, project kick off meetings etc.
  • To verify Design Input requirements
  • Conduct design review, verification activities.
  • Identify new product lines for development.
  • To prepare quotes based on the requirements
  • Communicate to customer on the quotes and revisions.
  • Estimate the price of products.
  • Review Supplier Qualification Questionnaire.
  • And/or any other tasks/projects as assigned by the Management.

AUTHORITY:


  • Approving Authority of Feasibility & Contract review of every project as delegated by the Managing Director
  • Approving Authority of enquiries, Quotations and negotiations to send the customers if required
  • Verifying authority for effectiveness of corrective / preventive action implementation
  • To maintain the facility to Zero harm
  • Authority to approve design outputs and prepare outputs.
  • Approve design changes.
  • Approve overall design packages after completion except design validations.
  • To Price arrival till cost of the products
  • To report any unsafe behaviors to safety representative and for conflicts directly communication to QHSE Supervisor.
  • Authority on QHSE grounds to stop operations or delivery of product on the existence of an immediate risk of harm to personnel or environmental pollution and damage to property.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

-
Minimum 10 (ten) years of relevant experience in similar industry
:


  • 5 years management role in manufacturing.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
  • Have a grasp on old and new manufacturing technology, and not be constrained by conventional ideas

Have experience in all aspects of manufacturing, from purchasing, materials, QA, HSE, P&L, and Inventory etc
:


  • Strong understanding of process flows, linked with improved productivity
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Be a team leader, and team motivator.
  • Strategic thinker / business manager, able to look at the bigger picture
  • Be able to work and interact effectively with all levels of personnel
