Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field. MBA or equivalent qualification may be preferred.
  • Proven experience in business development or sales in the software industry.
  • Strong understanding of software products, services, and technologies, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and internal teams.
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills, with the ability to influence decisionmakers and close deals.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify market opportunities, develop strategic plans, and execute sales initiatives to achieve business objectives.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, sales tools, and techniques for lead generation, prospecting, and pipeline management.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills, with the ability to analyze market trends, competitive landscapes, and customer needs to inform business strategies.
  • Selfmotivated and resultsoriented, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fastpaced, dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients, attend industry events, and represent the company.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities for software products and services, including software development, consulting, and outsourcing solutions.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify target markets, customer segments, and competitive landscapes, and develop strategies to penetrate new markets and expand market share.
  • Develop and execute sales plans, including lead generation, prospecting, qualification, proposal development, negotiation, and closing deals to meet or exceed sales targets and revenue goals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, product development, and delivery teams, to align sales initiatives with business objectives, customer needs, and market trends.
  • Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and other salesrelated metrics to management to track performance and inform decisionmaking.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, trade shows, and client meetings to promote brand awareness, generate leads, and build relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and developments in the software industry, including emerging technologies, market dynamics, competitive landscapes, and regulatory changes, and incorporate insights into sales strategies and business plans.
  • Provide feedback to internal teams on customer requirements, market trends, competitive threats, and product enhancements to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
  • By fulfilling these qualifications and job responsibilities, business development executives play a crucial role in driving growth, expanding market presence, and achieving business objectives for the software firm.
