The purpose of this position is to serve as an Aluminum Welder and Fabricator for a wide range of construction and repair projects at NEP

s Systems Integration facility in Pittsburgh, Work from blueprints and instructions from design engineers to layout, measure, mark, and arrange materialSquaring up, welding, cut, grind, and chamber aluminum of different widths and maintaining various geometries of componentsInspect work for accuracy and Work in coordination with other construction and maintenance personnel (Mechanical, carpentry, paint and electrical) to keep projects on scheduleOperate and maintain a variety of equipment such as hand tool, mill, saws, ;Ensure all equipment is properly set-up and used in a safe mannerMake sure all safety devices are in use and maintain a clean and organized work Makes small repairs to equipment as required Maintain inventory of materials, tools and associated fabrication productsOccasionally assist carpentry crew with other aspects of mobile unit trailer fabrication Moving parts and heavy frames on and off a worktable and throughout the facilityRequirements2 years of demonstrated experience welding aluminum and working in a variety of carpentry applications Ability to ready blueprints, CAD drawings, welding symbols and handwritten notes or sketchesMust have experience working with hands, hand tools, power tools, tape measure, heavy machinery Must be able to do TIG welding on

TIG Certification seen as a plus Passion for producing a quality product efficiently A thorough knowledge of carpentry materials and tools Must be highly consciousMust be highly motivated, detail oriented, and work in a team environment Interface and communicate well with supervisor, and facility staffAbility to deliver superior service and build lasting relationships by demonstrating NEP
