Description

We are looking for a Kitchen Steward (Kitchen Porter) to join our fast-growing specialized bakery team in Al Quoz, Dubai, UAE to support our retail, dine-in, catering and wholesale operations.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Maintaining Cleanliness:

Ensuring that all areas within the designated stewarding scope (such as kitchens, dining areas, restrooms, etc.) are clean, sanitized, and well-maintained according to hygiene standards and regulations.


Dishwashing and Equipment Maintenance:

Operating dishwashing equipment, washing dishes, utensils, and other kitchen equipment, and ensuring they are properly cleaned, sanitized, and stored.

Performing routine maintenance on equipment as needed.

Waste Management:
Handling waste disposal and recycling processes efficiently and in compliance with environmental regulations. Sorting and separating waste materials appropriately.

Inventory Management:
Monitoring and maintaining inventory levels of cleaning supplies, detergents, and other stewarding-related materials. Ordering supplies as needed to ensure adequate stock levels.

Assisting in Food Preparation:

Supporting kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks, such as peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients, as well as assembling food items.


Assisting with Events:
Setting up and breaking down event spaces, including arranging tables, chairs, linens, and other equipment as required. Assisting with serving food and beverages during events.

Safety and Hygiene Compliance:

Adhering to all safety and hygiene protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all staff and guests.

Reporting any safety hazards or incidents to management promptly.

Teamwork and Communication:
Collaborating with kitchen staff, servers, and other team members to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of services. Communicating effectively with colleagues and supervisors regarding work tasks and priorities.

Training and Development:

Participating in training programs and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills related to stewarding duties, including food safety practices, equipment operation, and cleaning techniques.


Customer Service:

Providing courteous and helpful assistance to guests or customers when needed, such as answering questions or addressing concerns related to cleanliness or hygiene.


Requirements:


  • Diploma / Certification in Culinary or equivalent or experience in lieu

3-5 years' experience as a Steward:


  • Desire to learn, contribute and grow with the brand:
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good communication skills and strong leadership skills. This position will require daily communication and hand off to the next shift for smooth operation and to meet the brand's highquality standards.
- **Flexible to work in different shifts (Early morning, daytime or night shift)
