    Job Description

    Approach to Work:


    •Own Data Science solutions for client requests and provide initial recommendations for complex client raised issues.


    •Support Internal and External Clients with the understanding of Data Science design and methodology.


    •Becoemes the next in line to senior managers in meetings with client and senior stakeholderss to understand business needs and help offer innovative solutions.


    •Works on creating new solutions use cases, proof of concept and prototypes by exploring diverse data sets using tools such as python/r.


    •Collaborate with other Data Science team units.


    • Automate and develop solutions for existing processes.


    •Self directed

    Stakeholder Management:

    Works with direct manager, colleagues, and other stakeholders such as CS team, Commercial and Product Leaders Takes direction from manager and senior colleagues.

    Strives to reduce complexity and create clarity.

    Technical Proficiency:

    ●Experience in the following areas: machine learning, trend analysis, multivariate statistics (parametric/ non-parametric), sampling, bias reduction, indirect estimation, data aggregation techniques, automation, generalization, and model validation techniques.

    ●Domain expert in at least one area: Demography, Sampling, Statistical Modeling, Research Practices, Data Integration, Digital.

    ●Ability to manipulate, analyze and interpret large data sources.

    ●Experienced in high-level programming languages (f.e. Python, R, SQL, Scala), as well as with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Spotfire, Tableau, MicroStrategy).

    ●Able to work in virtual environment. Familiar with git/Bitbucket processes

    ●Ability to formulate the right questions, hypotheses . Can use a logical reasoning process to break down and work through increasingly challenging situations or problems to arrive at positive outcomes.

    ●Identify and use data from various sources to uncover root causes and to influence decisions.

    ●Interpret effectively the data in relation to business objectives. And demonstrate the findings in a compelling manner

    ●Ability to engage/communicate with stakeholders/other groups and navigate multicultural environments.

    ●Ability to communicate effectively about complex data analysis and challenges

    ●Can adapt to change and new ideas or ways of working.

    ●Exhibits emotional intelligence when partnering with internal and external stakeholders.

    ●Ability to work in a global context and connecting to stakeholders in different parts of the world

    Product Mindset:

    ●Demonstrates "Outside-in-thinking" viewing development of the product from a client perspective.

    ●Continuously collaborate & support to improve the product.

    Qualifications


    •.Professionals with degrees in Maths, Data Science, Statistics, or related fields involving statistical analysis of large data sets.


    •2-3 years of experience in market research or relevant field.

    ●Mastering knowledge of NIelsen suite of products

    ●Understanding client concerns

    ●Able to put forth ways and means of solving client concerns with minimal guidance

    ●Automation and development of solutions for existing processes-minimal guidance

    Measures of Success:

    ●Plan and work on client concerns self directed in timeframe provided. Can effectively solve challenging problems.

    ●Works on and complete POCs

    ●Works well with colleagues, communicate and present effectively the outcome of the work.

    ●Lives the NielsenIQ Operating Principles.

    ●Stakeholders and colleagues recognize the impact of the work.
