Job Title: Cultural Curator

We are seeking a dedicated and organized individual to join our team as a Cultural Curator. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the daily operations of our library, including cataloging, circulation, reference services, and collection development.

• Main Responsibilities:


• - Develop and maintain relationships with publishers, vendors, and other libraries to expand our collection.


• - Organize events such as book clubs, author readings, and workshops to promote reading culture among our community.


• - Provide reference services to assist patrons in finding information and resources.


• - Maintain accurate records of library materials through proper cataloging procedures.


• - Oversee circulation services including checking out/in materials, collecting fines/fees, and maintaining patron records.

The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills along with strong organizational abilities. They should also possess knowledge of library systems such as Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) or Library of Congress Classification (LCC), proficiency in Microsoft Office suite is required. Fluency in Malayalam is not necessary but would be an asset. extbf{Experience} working within multicultural environments could prove beneficial.
