    • The Pipeline Engineer isresponsible for applying existing knowledge and experience in thepipeline discipline to support routine assignments. They will usebest practices and knowledge of internal or external issues toimprove products or services in the pipelinediscipline.
    • The Pipeline Engineer applies theirconceptual knowledge of pipeline and with a moderate level ofguidance and direction from colleagues and leadership, isresponsible for solving a range of straightforward pipelineproblems. They will be responsible for analyzing possible solutionsusing standard procedures, as well as building knowledge of thecompany, processes, and customers. The Pipeline Engineerunderstands key business drivers and applies this knowledge tosolve problems in straightforward situations through analysis ofpossible solutions using technical experience, judgment, andprecedents.

    Responsibilities

    KeyTasks and Responsibilities:

    • Gain familiarity with the projectscope of work, specifications, schedule, and all inter-disciplinerequirements, including identifying concerns as early aspracticable
    • Recognize changes to scope andnotify the Discipline Lead Engineer
    • Interfacewith all disciplines to develop clash-freedesigns
    • Interface with other departments toobtain input for Discipline designs anddrawings
    • Document substantive communications(communications that result in significant decisions or assignmentof actions) and forward copies to Discipline Lead Engineer andDiscipline Manager
    • Provide required bid inputsas directed
    • Prepare sketches of detailed designto guide Designers
    • Assist procurement personnelin procuring discipline equipment, materials, and services.Procurement assistance includes preparing requisitions, evaluatingtechnical quotations, preparing queries, compiling bid tabulationsand recommendations, preparing purchase requisitions, andcoordinating with Procurement to expedite vendor documents, asdirected by Discipline Lead Engineer
