• Completing the patients'intake process, taking patients' histories, and preparingand educating patients about the imagingprocedure.
• Reviewing patients' chartsand Doctors' notes before the examination, and maintainingpatients' records during and afterprocedures.
• Preparing radiopharmaceuticals forcontrast in the diagnostic images.
• Positioningpatients and equipment to capture the correct area and produceclear images.
• Monitoring patients and ensuringtheir safety during imagingprocedures.
• Calibrating the equipment to ensureclear, usable images are taken of the correct area, as specified bythe Doctor.
• Logging and organizing imageresults, developing film, assisting with the interpretation of theradiograph results, and consulting with Radiologists to determineif other images need to be taken.
• Ensuring theproper sterilization and storage of the equipment, maintainingradiographic equipment, and reporting any equipmentfailures.
• Coordinating with the radiologydepartment to schedule and complete radiographicprocedures.
• Maintaining up to date knowledge ofcurrent radiology practices.
