    The Opportunity

    We have a clearly laid down strategic plan that supports our ambition to grow our revenues by 4x across the region of South Asia, Middle East, Africa & Turkey. With this growth rate comes significant and rapid change, both structurally and system capability. The incumbent must be able to effectively lead in such an environment of scale-up and pace of change.

    As part of this role, Head of eCommerce, will be responsible for driving the exponential growth agenda for eCommerce business in the region. The person will be responsible for the channel P&L, managing and strengthening relationships with existing accounts like Amazon, Noon, Sporter in Tier-1 markets like UAE, KSA & Egypt and expand business in emerging markets like South Africa, Morocco, Turkey. The role will also require close collaboration with Key Internal Stakeholders across functions like Marketing, Supply Chain & Finance. The candidate needs to have a sound understanding of managing Trade & Marketing Spends. The ideal candidate should have proven success working in a fast-paced start-up environment and an in-depth understanding of eCommerce business drivers including performance marketing.

    This permanent position will report to the Commercial Director, META.

  • Deliver the Annual Topline in line with company objectives.
  • Deliver the growth ambition along with category share as part of Business KPIs.
  • Develop ecommerce channel strategy to meet revenue and growth targets for next 3 years.
  • Lead Annual JBP process, across all Key Accounts & build WIN-WIN partnerships.
  • Drive new initiatives for consumer acquisition, loyalty and retention to grow share.
  • Track and Monitor ROI of spends (Activity – Cost – ROI model) on trade & consumer marketing.
  • Partner with agencies to build capabilities for Search marketing, content optimisation, catalogue enhancement.
  • Collaborate with marketing team to define category-specific strategies and prioritize campaigns across various marketing channels.
  • Responsible for business development in Tier 1 markets with new channels like Q-commerce, Cross Border while continuing to expand into new markets like South Africa, Turkey & Morocco
  • Coordinate with key accounts on product pricing, inventory, weekly offers / discounts, promotional strategies, and actionable insights from weekly competition analysis. P&L responsibility with ownership to drive key business metrics (Conversion, GMV, ASP, Returns, Cancellations, Margins etc).
  • Partner closely with Finance and SC team on demand forecasting to enable better serviceability and drive overall operational efficiency.
  • Prepare and present the monthly performance as part of the MBR (Monthly Business Review)
  • The Skills you will bring to the team

  • 10 years'+ experience in a sales / category role in eCommerce, MBA preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of e-commerce technology and analytical & performance marketing tools.
  • Experience of working in a high growth and fast-paced organization
  • Persistent and resilient in the pursuit of objectives, willing to take new challenges.
  • Ability to work with ambiguity and in an entrepreneurial environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills with eCommerce portals and Key Resellers
  • Effective influencing, negotiating and relationship building skills together with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Numbers and data savvy with experience of sales automation to monitor business performance.
