Job Purpose:

The General Ledger (GL) Accountant will manage and maintain the accuracy of Alef's financial records by recording, classifying, and reconciling financial transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting principles, and facilitating the preparation of accurate financial statements for informed decision-making.

Job Details:

• Participate in month-end and year-end closing procedures, ensuring completeness and accuracy of financial data.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS standards and keep abreast of changes in regulations.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors, providing necessary documentation for audits.
• Maintain organized schedules for all General Ledger accounts, ensuring completeness and accuracy of records.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of internal controls to safeguard financial assets.
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in accounting.
• Identify and present solutions for process improvements.
• Assist with ad-hoc projects, policy, or procedure changes, improve operational efficiency, communication needs, etc.
• Perform regular reconciliations for all Chart of Accounts and conduct in-depth analyses to confirm the accuracy of ledger balances.
