The Communications Manager is an experienced, connected and established individual who can plan, manage and execute robust internal and external communications and engagement campaigns for SNA, including planning and implementing strategies, PR, and media relations campaigns in line with the organization's objectives and contribute to the business and brand objectives of the organization.

Key responsibilities will include drafting and reviewing internal communications content in English and Arabic.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop communication strategies to engage and communicate effectively with staff and stakeholders and elevate the way Sky News Arabia communicates internally and externally.
  • Execute plans to deliver internal engagement and communication.
  • Set the tone of voice for the organisation.
  • Identify and adhere to a communications process, ensuring collaboration across SNA and IMI departments and functions
  • Organise and execute events to engage staff and encourage collaboration. This includes allstaff events, as well as focus groups, town halls, and other internal events.
  • Seek to identify external opportunities that would engage and excite staff such as corporate offers.
  • Develop stories and news for staff to keep them connected through a quarterly newsletter.
  • Draft all internal communications and companywide announcements.
  • Utilize the owned and social media channels to deliver key PR messages.
  • Effectively plan and deliver on budget.
  • Plan the PR and media relations activities for the brand, leadership and our TV Presenters. This includes managing PR agency, and drafting all communications materials such as press releases, features, interviews, thought leadership pieces, speaking notes, and any other PR activity requirements in Arabic and English across the region.
  • Review and lead the approval process for the PR materials.
  • Monitor the brand presence across all media channels and platforms utilizing the most advanced tools.
  • Prepare the crisis comms needs and the ability to handle all kind of crisis comms internally and externally.
  • Ensure the brand is present positively across media outlets and expanding the brand reach through external comms activities.

Key Skills, Experience and Education:

  • A minimum of BA degree in communications, marketing, digital media, or relevant field.
  • Minimum 8 years of proven experience with specific experience working in the MENA region a must.
  • Understanding of communications and proven portfolio of experience covering both internal and external communications.
  • Fluent Arabic and English writer and speaker.
  • Ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines.
  • Team player, with the confidence to take the lead and guide other departments when necessary.
  • Ability to prioritise multiple activities effectively.
  • Effectively manage projects within allocated budgets.
  • Manage key relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Strong project management or organizational skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and verbal format, and build and maintain impactful relationships internally and externally.
  • Experience in the media industry is preferable.
