- Collaborate with urban planners and architects to develop detailed Building Information Models (BIM) and layouts for urban planning projects.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of authority approvals relevant to urban planning, such as DM, DDA, etc.
- Create base maps, including sign-off sheets, plot development guidelines, and land use plans, by digitizing and organizing collected data.
- Possess a solid understanding of land use schedules.
- Define zoning regulations and land use categories.
- Utilize software like MicroStation and Civil 3D to create and manage 2D and 3D models, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
- Provide expertise in BIM workflows, standards, and best practices to optimize the efficiency of the urban planning design process.
- Conduct quality checks on BIM models to ensure data integrity and consistency.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, incorporating feedback and making necessary adjustments to BIM models.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in BIM technology to enhance project delivery.
- Degree or Diploma in any relevant discipline. Preferably in Civil Engineering or Architecture.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a BIM CAD role within the urban planning or related field.
- Proficiency in MicroStation Connect and Civil 3D software is essential.
- Strong understanding of BIM principles, workflows, and standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work seamlessly within a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of urban planning concepts and terminology is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage with different personality types.
