Section Head - Shutdown & Planning ,Central Maintenance
Location:
Musaffah, Abu Dhabi - UAE
Type:
Full-time
The role ensures high-performance maintenance planning, scheduling, and spares management to optimize plant uptime and support Emirates Steel's objectives in Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery.
The role is the primary custodian of the Works Management system and drives continuous improvement in maintenance efficiency and effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership:
Lead Central Maintenance planning and scheduling; uphold and enforce Emirates Steel Works Management procedures.
Budgeting & Cost Control:
Assist in preparation and approval of OPEX & CAPEX budgets; monitor costs and ensure alignment with best practices in the steel industry.
Operational Management:
Direct resource allocation, process controls, and execution of maintenance activities efficiently and cost-effectively.
Work Management:
Ensure adherence to works management processes; optimize planning and scheduling; manage third-party maintenance providers.
Safety, Quality & Environment:
Promote HSE compliance; lead team in meeting HSE KPIs; ensure safe and responsible work practices.
Qualifications:
University degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
SAP ERP / Asset Management or Reliability qualifications preferred.
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in heavy, continuous manufacturing industries, preferably integrated steel.
Proven experience in maintenance planning and scheduling.

HSE compliance and risk management.
