Job Summary:

As a Structural Foreman specializing in steel shade construction, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the installation and assembly of steel structures, particularly shade structures.

Your role involves leading a team of construction workers, ensuring compliance with safety standards and project specifications, and maintaining efficient workflow to achieve project goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Site Preparation and Planning:

Coordinate with project managers to plan and prepare construction sites for steel shade installation.
Review project blueprints and specifications to understand the scope of work and requirements.

Team Leadership:

Supervise and lead a team of construction workers, including welders, fitters, and laborers.
Delegate tasks, provide instructions, and ensure that work is carried out efficiently and according to schedule.

Structural Assembly and Installation:

Oversee the assembly and installation of steel shade structures, including columns, beams, trusses, and roofing materials.
Ensure proper alignment, welding, and fastening techniques are employed during construction.

Quality Control:

Conduct regular inspections to verify the quality of workmanship and compliance with project specifications.
Address any deficiencies or issues promptly to maintain highquality standards.

Safety Compliance:

Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations on the construction site.
Conduct safety briefings, hazard assessments, and implement corrective actions as necessary to mitigate risks.

Material Management:

Coordinate the delivery and handling of steel and construction materials, ensuring they are used efficiently and stored safely onsite.

Progress Reporting:

Provide regular progress reports to project managers, highlighting achievements, challenges, and any deviations from the project schedule.

Act as a point of contact for clients, addressing any concerns or inquiries related to the construction progress or quality of work.

Equipment Maintenance:

Oversee the maintenance and operation of construction equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition and used safely.

Identify and resolve issues or obstacles encountered during construction, seeking creative solutions to keep the project on track.

Qualifications and Experience:

Previous experience as a Foreman or Supervisor in steel construction, preferably with a focus on shade structures.
Strong knowledge of steel fabrication, welding techniques, and construction practices.
Leadership abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures in the construction industry.
