    Core Responsibilities:

    • Supporting Category Manager within the assigned brand/category by developing comprehensive business plans
    • Studies trends from historical data around brand/category sales and market research to assist in the overall planning process.
    • Supports in tasks that will allow category KPIs to be achieved.
    • Responsible for monitoring defined price strategy for both Local and Own Brands against competitors.
    • Manages consumer mapping and is responsible for brand/category consumer segmentation and differentiation.
    • Ensures optimum utilization of customer research information to guide brand/category management decisions including decisions on the introduction of new products product assortment promotion and pricing of products in the store.
    • Ensures compliance and governance of item master dare process.


    People Management:

    • Defines performance goals at the start of the year in discussion with the reporting manager for self and ensures that the goals are
    achieved during the course of the year.
    • Takes ownership of his/her own learning agenda by identifying development needs in consultation with the manager and agreeing on the
    individual development plan
    • Keeps abreast of professional developments new techniques and current issues through continued education and professional growth

    About the requirements:

    • A minimum of 13 years of relevant experience with Retail commercial roles FMCG or Category Management
    • Solid knowledge of category management preferably in Health & Beauty segment.
    • Understanding of data analysis and forecasting methods
    • Proficient in MS Office
    • An analytical mind with a strategic ability
    • Excellent communication and people skills
