- Hiring,training, and motivating accounting staff members while supervisingand delegating department tasks.
- Evaluating,developing, and improving department controls, systems, andprocedures that increase accuracy andefficiency.
- Overseeing the daily activities ofthe accounting department and ensuring that all major projects,month-end, and year-end reports are completed accurately and ontime.
- Ensuring that all accounting processesalign with GAAP and current financiallegislation.
- Analyzing financial data andcreating reports for management, stakeholders, and externalparties, such as vendors orlenders.
- Maintaining accurate and completefinancial records and participating in audits or reconciliations,as needed.
- Assisting other departments as theydevelop strategies, establish objectives, and make decisions thatcould have a financial impact on thebusiness.
- Keeping informed about the latestdevelopments in the financeindustry.
