    Education/experience

    Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Criminal Justice, or related field, and demonstrated experience involving investigations or compliance, or equivalent education and experience Job Summary The Title IX Investigator acts as a neutral party to investigate violations of the Discrimination and Harassment Policy and will provide support to other staff during investigations.

    The investigator receives and processes reports and inquiries, assists with supportive measures, and assists with case management, particularly as applies to identification of trends, and will also provide training to the University community.

    The Investigator will further provide administrative support, including file and website maintenance, communication with individuals who contact the office, and administrative tasks and duties related to University processes (e.g., purchasing, travel).

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in related field
    • Experience conducting HR or workplace investigations
    • Demonstrated judgment with the ability to manage highly sensitive and confidential information
    • Demonstrated skills in the areas of problem solving, critical thinking, trauma-informed interviewing, investigation, and report writing
    • Ability to remain neutral and work under stress, to adapt to changes, to complete work in a timely manner, and to work collaboratively with others in a team environment
    • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, success in working with diverse constituencies, and ability to establish and maintain professional and productive working relationships with staff at all levels at the university
    • Strong and effective interpersonal skills, including the ability to listen well, be sensitive to and respectful of individual needs, and communicate in a professional manner with tact and diplomacy Additional Considerations Paralegal Certification/degree. Title IX Certification. Ability to conduct in-depth research on legal matters. Experience in a higher education setting. Prior investigation experience.
