    Merchant Onboarding Specialist

    Summary:

    Efficiently onboard new merchants in compliance with regulatory requirements, facilitating their access to payment gateways, POS systems, and e-commerce solutions.

    Job Description

    As a Merchant Onboarding Specialist at Sharjah Islamic Bank, you will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless registration and activation of merchants on our platforms.

    The key accountabilities of this role include:

    • Managing the merchant onboarding process from registration to activation, ensuring accuracy and authenticity of merchant-provided information.
    • Validating merchant information against company policies and regulatory requirements, including KYC and AML guidelines.
    • Collaborating with relevant teams, such as Compliance, Finance, ITD, and Business, to ensure timely approvals and setup.
    • Maintaining accurate records of merchant onboarding processes and updating MCC & IRD information as necessary.
    • Communicating policy changes and compliance requirements to merchants and addressing their queries and resolving issues.
    • Supporting the integration process and maintaining Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

    Qualifications and Requirements:

    • Proficiency in merchant systems, onboarding platforms, and digital tools.
    • Ability to address and resolve issues during the onboarding process.
    • Knowledge of KYC, AML, and other regulatory requirements.
    • Ability to manage multiple onboarding processes simultaneously.
    • Minimum 3-6 years of experience in a similar role.
