About the Job:
Assistant Manager - Financing and Securities Services Operations.


Working within the Financing and Securities Services operations team, focussing on operational support and clients' queries and support across conventional securities in over 100 markets.

Responsibilitie

  • To undertake periodic selfassessment on key controls to access the proper functioning and adequacy of existing controls.
  • Assist in coordinating, facilitating and promoting understanding of operational risk, including implementation and management.
  • To effectively manage and process Standard Chartered Bank, UAE and Regional Securities Services digital and conventional custody transactions (Corporate actions, Settlements, Billing) on a daily basis and escalate any transactions which requires immediate resolution.
  • Ensure that turnaround times in respect of processing various transactions are met on a constant basis as per agreed SLA with respective units.
  • Ensure that all enquiries / complaints are resolved within the agreed turnaround timelines.
  • To develop key working relationships with internal customers and support units etc.
  • To ensure that Department Operating Instructions (DOI), checklists, SLA / SLMs are kept up to date, and shared with the teammembers and reviewed to ensure practicing of the same.
  • Ensure Adherence by unit to the Group and country policy and procedures.
  • Ensure adherence on an ongoing basis to all requirements of KYC/AML/sanction regulations as may be issued from time to time.
  • Avoid revenue leakage and ensure that there are no debits to P&L Accounts without appropriate authority
  • Ensure that all internal account reconciliation escalations are addressed on a daily basis and correction entries passed where required e.g. sundry, erroneous, CSA accounts etc.
  • To ensure that any nostro unreconciled entries are escalated are kept to a minimum and are resolved on a daily basis.
  • A recent graduate with a financial qualification
  • Experience in a Financial Services Institution, securities and custody experience would be beneficial
  • Digital asset interest or background would be a benefit
  • Willingness and interest to learn and grow within Operations.
  • Strong communication skills (English & Arabic)
  • Willingness to work on flexi work hours (only when necessary)
