- Generally assist RE and deputize when required.
- Well aware of requirements specified in the Contract Documents and following applicable duties pertained to applied category.
- Supervise Contractor's works to achieve and maintain required O&M, construction in accordance with the Contract Documents.
- Supervises Construction Inspectors, ensuring that tests and inspections are performed, witnessed, and documented in accordance with approved procedures.
- Establishes and maintains liaison with the discipline design engineering staff. Reviews and interprets discipline design drawings and specifications to ensure current revision level and correct technical execution of the work.
- Monitors material procurement and deliveries to ensure timeliness in support of construction activities and schedule within the assigned discipline. Ensures that materials received meet specifications and established standards of quality.
- Participate in contract administration and reviews Contractor's submissions.
- Provide all necessary on-site direction and issue site instructions.
- Check measure of work done and prepare progress report.
- Record and display progress versus program.
- Ensure correctness and completeness of as-built drawings.
- Interfaces with the client and upper-level management.
- Monitors and coordinates all contractors' activities for assigned area.
- Initiates and maintains records, back-charge procedures, progress reports, etc., as required.
- Observe site safety practices.
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
- Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university/institution.
- Minimum fifteen (15) years post graduate experience in construction supervision of community development & infrastructure projects of complex nature in Dubai.
- Must have a sound knowledge about contractual relationships.
- Must be fully computer literate and able to utilize computer technology to access data, maintain records, generate reports, etc. and any project specific engineering and construction relevant software.
- Must be fluent in English both written and spoken with an excellent capability in written technical skills as well as oral and written communication skills .
- Proven ability for performing in a lead capacity on a project.
- Civil Engineering Consultancy experience in UAE is preferable.
