    Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Assistant Resident Engineer to join our team In this role you will get to p erform all aspects of field engineering assignments including development of plans, schedules, contracts, procedures, and construction methods and systems for an assigned project.

    What You'll Be Doing:

  • Generally assist RE and deputize when required.
  • Well aware of requirements specified in the Contract Documents and following applicable duties pertained to applied category.
  • Supervise Contractor's works to achieve and maintain required O&M, construction in accordance with the Contract Documents.
  • Supervises Construction Inspectors, ensuring that tests and inspections are performed, witnessed, and documented in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Establishes and maintains liaison with the discipline design engineering staff. Reviews and interprets discipline design drawings and specifications to ensure current revision level and correct technical execution of the work.
  • Monitors material procurement and deliveries to ensure timeliness in support of construction activities and schedule within the assigned discipline. Ensures that materials received meet specifications and established standards of quality.
  • Participate in contract administration and reviews Contractor's submissions.
  • Provide all necessary on-site direction and issue site instructions.
  • Check measure of work done and prepare progress report.
  • Record and display progress versus program.
  • Ensure correctness and completeness of as-built drawings.
  • Interfaces with the client and upper-level management.
  • Monitors and coordinates all contractors' activities for assigned area.
  • Initiates and maintains records, back-charge procedures, progress reports, etc., as required.
  • Observe site safety practices.
  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
  • What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university/institution.
  • Minimum fifteen (15) years post graduate experience in construction supervision of community development & infrastructure projects of complex nature in Dubai.
  • Must have a sound knowledge about contractual relationships.
  • Must be fully computer literate and able to utilize computer technology to access data, maintain records, generate reports, etc. and any project specific engineering and construction relevant software.
  • Must be fluent in English both written and spoken with an excellent capability in written technical skills as well as oral and written communication skills .
  • What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Proven ability for performing in a lead capacity on a project.
  • Civil Engineering Consultancy experience in UAE is preferable.
  • Minimum Clearance Required to Start:
