    Description
    Job PurposeThe main mission of the Engineer is to design solutions for securing property, goods, and people.

    He oversees all aspects of a project on diversified cases, within the new build and master planning security projects and within the built environment across the region.

    In consultation with the customer, authorities and other project's stakeholders, the security specialist defines and design the measures that are adapted to the security context and to the extent of the identified challenges.

    He accompanies the client from the design through to the operational implementation of the solutions for which he has established the specifications.

    Tasks and ResponsibilitiesAs an experienced Physical Security Engineer, you will:


    Elaborate schematic and detailed designs, including technical specifications, employer'srequirements, BOQ and other technical documents which will be incorporated within RFPs.

    You should be able to capture the scope and understand the complete requirements of the project by referring to multiple documents and preliminary studies such as risk assessment and strategic conceptual reports, architectural and structural drawings, as well as other documents and schematics from other disciplines.

    Review, comment and approve security technical design packages that are developed by other.

    You will follow-up the process to ensure the security contractor will issue an Issue for Construction package that is compliant with the project's security strategy, concepts, and client's policies, principles and operational requirements.

    Assist the client in preparing and attending project kick-off, progress and coordination meetings during the construction stage of the project, once the security contractor is awarded.

    You should provide supervision services such as regular site inspections and related minutes and compliance/ non-compliance reports.

    Prepare and lead technical design review workshops with the security contractors; you will deal with technical queries, compliance, deviations log, and risk logs, and record minutes of meeting in a structured way.

    Escalate issues at the right time, so as not to affect the project delivery schedule; any escalations with respect to the scope devotions/assumptions must be clearly backed up with adequate documentation.

    Skills and Experience

    Skills:

    BE/ Diploma in (Instrumentation / Electrical / Electronics / Electronics & Communication).5 years of relevant experience in Physical Security Systems.

    Strong knowledge of high-end Security Systems (Video Management, video analytics, Access Control, Thermal and EO/IR imaging, ground radars, ANPR, Fencing and Perimeter Intrusion Detection System, control rooms, etc.).

    Strong knowledge of other related disciplines and security systems' associated network and ELV infrastructure:
    structured cabling, IT active components, wireless communications, etcProficiency in AutoCAD would be a plus

    Other Requirements:

    Fluency in oral and written EnglishProficiency in Arabic would greatly enhance the skill setExcellent written and verbal communications skillsStrong work ethicExcellent interpersonal skillsExcellent analytical skillsAbility to work either independently or with a team to carry out the required tasksAbility to consistently meet deadlinesProficiency with Microsoft Office applications, to include Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
