Adjunct Assistant Professor of Biotechnology

School of Arts and Sciences, American University of Ras Al Khaimah

Job Summary:


Primary Responsibilities Include:


  • Teaching undergraduate courses related to General Microbiology and Applied and Industrial Microbiology.
  • Holding office hours; one hour per course per week.
  • Completing mandatory quality assurance requirements at the end of each semester for the delivered course such as Course DASPA, Program DASPA, Course Files and Syllabi.
  • Participating in Department, School of Arts and Sciences, and University meetings, if possible.

Required Qualifications and Skills:


  • A doctoral degree in Biotechnology, Microbiology, or any other related discipline, from an accredited institution of higher education.
  • Effective oral and written English communication skills.
  • Commitment to excellence in teaching, including the use of highimpact educational practices at the university level
  • Experience in working effectively with a diverse student population.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with faculty from a variety of disciplines.
