Logistics Officer (Chemicals)
The Logistics Officer is responsible for coordinating and managing the day-to-day logistics operations, including transportation, inventory management, and warehousing. The role ensures the efficient flow of goods, timely delivery, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transportation Coordination: Arrange and oversee the transportation of chemicals, ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory standards. Coordinate with carriers and track shipments to ensure timely delivery.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels of chemical products. Maintain accurate records and ensure proper storage conditions to prevent contamination and degradation.
- Warehouse Operations: Supervise warehouse activities including the receiving, storage, and dispatch of chemicals. Ensure that all handling procedures comply with safety regulations.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of all logistics activities, including shipment details, inventory levels, and compliance documents. Prepare regular reports for management.

Vendor Management:
Liaise with suppliers and logistics providers to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations. Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with external partners.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure all logistics operations adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, particularly those related to the handling and transportation of hazardous materials. Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions for staff.
- Problem Solving: Address and resolve logisticsrelated issues promptly. Implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and a minimum of 10 years of experience in logistic, chemicals distribution in a global or local operation will be preferred.
- Basic knowledge of understanding of domestic and international rules and regulations that govern the shipments of chemicals.
- This position requires someone that is highly organized, communicates information professionally and follows up in a clear and timely manner.
- Ability to multi task. Positive, energetic and enthusiastic attitude, proactive, responsible, results driven, problem/solution oriented, flexible to the needs of the business.
- The individual must have excellent attention to detail, analytical and time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- SAP knowledge and proficient in MS Office
- Word, Excel.
- Place of residence in the UAE, valid UAE driver's license.
