    Marsh is currently looking for candidates to join their team in Abu Dhabi / Dubai for the position of Graduate Chemical / Mechanical Engineer - Energy and Power.

    Position Overview: Marsh is in need of a Graduate Chemical / Mechanical Engineer with a specialization in the energy and power industry to aid in their engineering, consulting, and analytics projects. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with senior engineers, consultants, and data analysts from diverse backgrounds spanning the entire value chain of oil and gas, petrochemicals, power, and renewables. The goal is to devise and implement solutions that help clients enhance their risk resilience in the face of the challenges posed by the energy transition and climate change. This role presents an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional to gain valuable hands-on experience in a high-paced consulting environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist senior engineers in performing risk assessments and process safety analyses for clients across various industries like chemical manufacturing, oil and gas, and heavy industries.
    • Employ diverse risk assessment methodologies and tools under the mentorship of senior team members to identify potential hazards, evaluate consequences, and formulate risk mitigation strategies.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate risks related to new projects in the energy, power, and renewables sector from a risk engineering standpoint.
    • Contribute to the development and execution of risk management plans, encompassing emergency response protocols, safety training initiatives, and regulatory compliance approaches.
    • Support on-site engineering surveys to evaluate risk factors in manufacturing plants within the energy, power, and renewables sector.
    • Analyze incident data and participate in root cause analyses to pinpoint systemic issues and prevent future occurrences.
    • Keep abreast of evolving trends, regulations, and innovations in risk engineering and chemical process safety, while actively contributing to knowledge dissemination within the organization.

    Qualifications:

    • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with a focus on energy and power systems.
    • Possess a solid academic foundation in mechanical engineering, chemistry, thermodynamics, and chemical process safety.
    • Showcase excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities along with the capacity to think critically and propose novel solutions.
    • Demonstrate effective communication skills, capable of conveying technical concepts and discoveries to both technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Previous internship or research exposure in the energy or chemical engineering domain is advantageous.
    • Understanding of regulatory mandates and industry standards in the energy and power sector is a plus.
