Dear Hiring Manager,

As a biology graduate from the Lebanese University and a current master’s degree candidate at the University of Balamand, I am passionate about life science research, health, and laboratory work.

Through my previous years as a biology student, I got a broad background in a variety of domains such as genetics, microbiology, molecular biology, biotechnology, chemistry, and biochemistry. I gained great experience working in various kinds of laboratories. Since then, I learned that pursuing a career in this domain is my ultimate dream. With a strong background as mine, I’m sure that I am up to any sort of implementation. My favorite part about this type of practice is the experience and knowledge gained at every step. It is a path of non-ending learning opportunities. 

During my studies for my master’s degree, I got the chance to be a laboratory technician at the University of Balamand. My duties were many. I was in charge of managing the science laboratory at the Health Sciences department. My work at the lab entailed monitoring all safety and regulation rules, reporting any machine and equipment malfunction, preparing of samples, chemicals and experiments, teaching students and explaining experimental procedures, maintaining lab cleanliness along with some administrative and reporting work. Through my time at this position, not only did I learn more, but also loved my job more. Furthermore, in the past year, my knowledge about molecular biology, chemistry and biochemistry expanded considerably. Another aspect of my work entailed documenting and following university’s health and safety procedures. Quality control was also part of what I did, where I had to provide the best education services as well as laboratory ensuring that all SOPs and GLPs are being followed.

I am sure that I can be of added value to the team as I am always keen to learn and improve. My hard work and passion to the scientific field always gives room to prosper and move forward. 

One of the factors that attracted me to apply for this job is the value and reputation of the company. Working and gaining further experience at a respectful and reputable institution are my utmost desires. Working here would be a step closer to a successful career that definitely fits my aspirations.
